50" Open Back Coats: 15 oz. Aluminized Rayon
Details
Aluminized rayon, available in both 15- and
19 oz. / sq. yd. weights, is well known as a
comfortable, yet effective, fabric for aluminized
protective clothing. It is very flexible and lightweight,
which reduces heat stress and fatigue, and enhances
the wearer's comfort. Aluminized rayon displays
excellent radiant heat, molten aluminum, and iron
splash protection according to the EN 531 standard
(which has been superseded by the ISO EN 16112),
and the ASTM F955 test. This fabric is one of the
more economical options available for manufacturing
aluminized protective clothing.
